However, obstacles such as lack of infrastructure, limited human resources, and disparities between urban and rural areas are still major problems. On the other hand, Singapore is known for its efficient and quality health system. With a more centralized approach and supported by advanced technology, Singapore has achieved excellent health outcomes at relatively low costs. A mandatory health insurance system and widespread adoption of information technology have enabled Singapore to provide affordable, high-quality health services to its entire population. This study will compare several key aspects of the two health systems, including accessibility, quality of service, cost efficiency, and level of community satisfaction. Through this comparative analysis, it is hoped that valuable lessons can be found that can help develop the health systems in both countries and encourage improvements in the welfare of society as a whole.
Karina Fachrun Nisa Timbul Dompak Karol Teovani Lodan Copyright (c) 2024 Prosiding Seminar Nasional Ilmu Sosial dan Teknologi (SNISTEK) http://creativecommons.org/licenses/by/4.0 2024-09-19 2024-09-19 6 72 77 Perbandingan Pengelolaan Kinerja Keuangan Negara di Negara Berkembang dan Negara Maju (Studi Kasus Indonesia dan Singapura) https://forum.upbatam.ac.id/index.php/prosiding/article/view/9311
This research aims to compare the management of national financial performance in developing and developed countries through case studies of commercial banks in Indonesia and Singapore. Many corporations start by setting up a corporation to carry out their business activities. It is important for business owners to obtain a commercial permit as a business document confirming the legality of the business activity carried out. Local governments have an important role to play in granting business permits, and adaptations to the centralized regional integrated service system (OSS) have been made to improve public service. However, the implementation of OSS still faces some obstacles, including inconsistencies between central and regional governments as well as dualism in regional management. Singapore, on the other hand, offers faster, more efficient, and more conducive business licensing processes for entrepreneurs. Singapore’s government actively supports industry and foreign companies through friendly regulations and a supportive business environment. Previous research has highlighted that although efforts have been made to simplify the process of licensing through OSS in Indonesia, there is still room for improvement in coordination between central and regional governments as well as in the comprehensive implementation of regulations. In the context of research methods, this study uses a qualitative approach to comparative studies between Indonesia and Singapore. The results and interpretation show that significant differences in business licensing processes between the two countries affect the attractiveness of global entrepreneurs. In conclusion, Singapore offers a more conducive business environment and a more efficient licensing process compared to Indonesia. This paper analyzes the policy frameworks, implementation techniques, and effects of blue carbon conservation efforts in both countries. Indonesia has enacted strong policies, such as the National Action Plan on Climate Change Adaptation and the National Mangrove Management Strategy, which prioritize community-based management and cooperation between the public and private sectors. This strategy has resulted in a rise in the extent of mangrove forests, improved the functioning of ecosystems, and strengthened the ability to capture and store carbon. In a similar vein, Mexico has implemented extensive frameworks through the National Climate Change Strategy and the General Law on Climate Change, which aim to foster collaboration among stakeholders and encourage the adoption of sustainable management practices. Positive developments in Mexico include the expansion of mangrove regions and the enhancement of biodiversity conservation. Notwithstanding these achievements, both countries continue to face problems in terms of securing long-term funding, ensuring effective coordination among stakeholders, and mitigating the implications of climate change. Subsequent studies should prioritize the improvement of governance structures, the enhancement of monitoring systems, and the expansion of successful initiatives to guarantee the enduring viability of global blue carbon conservation endeavors.
Remember to Harefa Timbul Dompak Erwin Harefa Lubna Salsabila Copyright (c) 2024 Prosiding Seminar Nasional Ilmu Sosial dan Teknologi (SNISTEK) http://creativecommons.org/licenses/by/4.0 2024-09-19 2024-09-19 6 126 135 Perbandingan Sistem Politik Dan Demokrasi: Studi Kasus Indonesia Dan Filipina Dalam Konteks Sejarah Politik Dan Pemilihan Umum https://forum.upbatam.ac.id/index.php/prosiding/article/view/9320
Indonesia and the Philippines, both located in Southeast Asia, have a remarkably similar political history. Both nations are governed by authoritarian regimes. During that period, the electoral political system was established and comprehensively governed by all political components. Democracy has ceased to exist and is now closely linked to a political framework that is under the power of the government. The utilization of general elections as a metric can serve as an indication of the caliber of a nation's democratic system. If the elections in that country are conducted smoothly and citizens actively engage, then the country is seen as possessing commendable democratic attributes. This serves as a lesson for Indonesia and the Philippines to enhance the execution of elections and democracy by enacting more effective legislation and establishing a superior electoral system compared to the previous one. This research was conducted in order to obtain an objective comparison of SIM processing procedures in the two countries and compare the efficiency of the two. The method used in this research is a qualitative research approach using literature study. The data sources used are secondary data sources originating from books, journal articles and statutory regulations. The results of this research are as follows. First, there are similarities between the SIM processing bureaucracy in Indonesia and Malaysia. These similarities include the requirement for prospective SIM holders to submit a copy of their identity card as well as a certificate of mental and physical health. This requirement is required in the SIM issuance process as a basis for recording the identity of the SIM holder and ensuring that the prospective SIM holder is truly fit for health to drive a vehicle. Apart from that, you are also required to sign and provide fingerprints for forensic purposes for the police. In other words, both Indonesia and Malaysia have similarities in terms of SIM functionality as a means for the police to regulate traffic users. Second, Malaysia lies in the systematics of driving a driver's license. Malaysia implements a driving training phase that also includes theoretical and practical testing on the road. This aims to ensure that prospective SIM holders are truly qualified to drive. Meanwhile in Indonesia there is no training system that is integrated with the SIM issuance system. There are only theory and practical exams to test general knowledge of traffic rules and driving skills for prospective SIM holders. Indonesia, with the largest Muslim population in the world, has a well-structured Islamic education system supported by various institutions such as pesantren (Islamic boarding schools), madrasahs, and Islamic schools. Strong government support and widespread accessibility to education have accelerated the spread of Islam in Indonesia. In contrast, in Thailand, where the majority of the population is Buddhist, Islamic education is concentrated in the southern provinces such as Pattani, Yala, and Narathiwat. Despite some policies aimed at integrating Islamic education into the national education system, their implementation is often ineffective and limited by financial support and social stigma against the Muslim community. The study's findings indicate that government policy support, accessibility of educational institutions, and societal response are key factors influencing the spread of Islam. This research provides recommendations to strengthen Islamic religious education in Thailand, including increased government support, expanded accessibility to Islamic educational institutions, and efforts to reduce social stigma. These findings are expected to contribute significantly to the field of religious and educational studies and serve as a basis for more effective policies in supporting Islamic education in Southeast Asia.
Sofia Monica Timbul Dompak Lubna Salsabila Copyright (c) 2024 Prosiding Seminar Nasional Ilmu Sosial dan Teknologi (SNISTEK) http://creativecommons.org/licenses/by/4.0 2024-09-19 2024-09-19 6 158 163 Perbandingan Sistem Pemilihan Presiden Indonesia Dengan Turki https://forum.upbatam.ac.id/index.php/prosiding/article/view/9325
This research compares the presidential election systems between Indonesia and Türkiye with a focus on differences in electoral systems and election processes. Initially developed under the governance of the Batam Authority (now BP Batam), Batam has experienced rapid population growth and significant economic expansion, making it one of Indonesia's fastest-growing cities. Despite economic downturns in other parts of Indonesia, Batam has consistently attracted foreign direct investment (FDI) and avoided recessions. The research examines the visionary leadership of B.J. Habibie, whose tenure transformed Batam into a major industrial hub with top-tier infrastructure, and the subsequent economic boom during the 1990s, marked by high growth rates. The study also addresses the dual institutional governance between the Batam City Government and BP Batam, which has led to conflicts in authority over licensing, land management, and assets. Efforts by the central government to maintain Batam's special status while implementing regional autonomy policies are explored, including the transition from a Free Trade Zone (FTZ) to a Special Economic Zone (SEZ) to attract investment. Methodologically, this research utilizes both secondary data from previous studies and primary data from surveys and interviews with Batam's stakeholders, including government representatives, business leaders, and community members. Findings highlight ongoing legal ambiguities, declining investment, economic growth challenges, and social issues. The method used in this study is the Wilcoxon statistical test to determine significant differences between the incident rates in those two years. The Wilcoxon test results indicate that the Asymp. Sig. (2-tailed) value is 0.008, which, in the case of a one-tailed test, results in a probability of 0.004. This value indicates a significant difference between the Darknet Exposure incident rates in 2022 and 2023. The analysis also suggests that the mitigation recommendations implemented in 2022 were not effective in reducing Darknet Exposure incidents in 2023, as evidenced by an increase in the number of cases. Conversely, for Web Defacement incidents, the Wilcoxon test results show the same Asymp. Sig. (2-tailed) value of 0.008, resulting in a probability of 0.004. This indicates a significant difference between the Web Defacement incident rates in 2022 and 2023. Based on the test results, the mitigation recommendations proved effective in reducing Web Defacement incidents, with a decrease in the number of cases in 2023. From these findings, it can be concluded that cyber incident handling strategies need to be adjusted and strengthened, especially in dealing with Darknet Exposure incidents. The impact is predicted to be felt in the long term across the world economy, as explained in Champbell's causality theory. The Russian invasion of Ukraine on 24 February 2022 became a global event of widespread impact, raising internal political tensions in Ukraine and Russia. In Ukraine, political polarization has occurred between NATO supporters and pro-Russia, with the government imposing sanctions on Russian supporers. In Russia, freedom of expression is restricted, and cyber attacks on Ukrainian infrastructure, deepening the dimension of the conflict. The economic impact is severe, with Ukraine undergoing international isolation and Russia facing economic sanctions as well as falling oil prices as a result of a boycott of imports from the United States and its allies. Food deficits also occurred in some regions due to dependence on imports of wheat and oil from Russia and Ukraine. Efforts to resolve the conflict have been made, such as a UN resolution calling for an end to Russian attacks on Ukraine as well as diplomatic efforts by various countries and international organizations, including Indonesia, Turkey, and France. Thus, although the conflict continues, hope lies in diplomatic efforts to bring peace and stability back to the region. The advice that can be given is the need for intensive diplomatic efforts and global coordination to alleviate tensions and mitigate the negative economic impact. The protection of human rights and the principles of international law must also be the focus in responding to this conflict. With a holistic approach and inter-state cooperation, it is expected that the conflict can be resolved peacefully and provide long-term stability for the region and the world.
Rosinta Paulina Br. Bank Perkreditan Rakyat Dana Nusantara, Tanjungpinang City, which does not yet have a computerized system that is integrated between marketing, the assessment section and the team leader. Where each credit application data for each prospective debtor and credit scoring data and verification results are processed and summarized in Microsoft Excel and each application document is still summarized manually. With the conditions and descriptions mentioned above, it is very possible that the data collection process will experience errors and mistakes and even documents can be scattered or lost. So that the marketing and assessment sections concerned have difficulty taking action because the documents have been scattered or lost. Currently, credit application data management is carried out manually, where the process of submitting credit application documents is carried out directly, then the management of prospective debtor data, credit scoring is summarized into Microsoft Excel. As a result, marketing assessments become slower and other work is disrupted. So the author took the initiative to create a system that is able to adequately manage all credit application data management processes using the Waterfall method in designing software that will be used by all users of the designed system. To make it easier and accessible anytime and anywhere, the system is designed based on a website, so that notifications regarding the continuation of the credit application are directly entered and displayed automatically in the system, especially for each prospective debtor who has made a credit application, whether the application is approved or rejected. In designing the system, the author uses PHP (Programing Hypertext Prepocessor), framework (LARAVEL) as a system design media.
Abdulrahmad Abdulrahmad Zulfachmi Zulfachmi Zulkipli Zulkipli Candlekie Candlekie Copyright (c) 2024 Prosiding Seminar Nasional Ilmu Sosial dan Teknologi (SNISTEK) http://creativecommons.org/licenses/by/4.0 2024-09-18 2024-09-18 6 371 386 Optimalisasi Pembelajaran Sejarah Dengan Materi Pertempuran 10 November 1945 Di Surabaya Menggunakan Media Wordwall Untuk Meningkatkan Keterlibatan Peserta Didik Di Kelas XI SMA Negeri 5 Madiun https://forum.upbatam.ac.id/index.php/prosiding/article/view/9367
Learning media is something that is very necessary to convey and receive the material being discussed. The implementation of this consulting service contract deviates from the rules contained in Presidential Regulation Number 16 of 2018 concerning Government Procurement of Goods and Services. Judging from the Good Faith Theory in contracting, the implementation of this contract is contrary to the Good Faith principle of Article 1338 (3) BW, because the PPK has contracted when the budget is not yet available for payment of achievements, so it includes doing frod/tricks that hide a fact. If it is related to the principle of contractual balance, the contract is considered unfair, because as a process, an ideal contract should be able to accommodate the fair and equitable exchange of interests of the parties at every phase or stage of the contract. This contract does not include in detail the fine clause if the service user defaults or the compensation that should be received by the service provider if he is late in receiving work performance. It was identified that there was an ineffectiveness in the process of collecting employee attendance lists at Toko Jaya Plastik. Then, this also raises another problem, namely inaccurate information will affect the calculation of employee salaries. Thus, a web-based attendance information system is needed so that attendance activities can be accessed by employees using smartphones. Based on these problems, the researcher took the initiative to design and implement a web-based attendance system. The programs used to design the attendance system are Visual Studio Code, MySQL, XAMPP, and Google Chrome. The researcher conducted observations and interviews with Toko Jaya Plastik, to obtain information related to the attendance application system. Then, this web-based attendance information system was developed and implemented with the PHP, HTML, Java Script, CSS programming languages and using the MySQL database. Based on the results of the research and system design, it can be concluded that, after testing, the designed web-based attendance system can be implemented properly. The suggestion for further research is the development of the QR Code scan feature so that it can be done for a lifetime.
Zulfachmi Zulfachmi Zulkipli Zulkipli Abdul Rahmad Copyright (c) 2024 Prosiding Seminar Nasional Ilmu Sosial dan Teknologi (SNISTEK) http://creativecommons.org/licenses/by/4.0 2024-09-18 2024-09-18 6 668 678 Urgensi Penerapan E-Katalog Terhadap Pelaksanaan Pemilihan Pengadaan Barang/Jasa Melalui Penyedia https://forum.upbatam.ac.id/index.php/prosiding/article/view/9421
This research aims to find out and understand the Urgency of Implementing e-Catalogs in the Implementation of Selection of Procurement of Goods/Services Through Providers (Empirical Study in the Kampar Regency Regional Government) which is one of the Planned Methods for Selection of Providers at the Planning stage of Procurement of Goods/ Services as well as an assessment of performance of the procurement of goods/services based on the opinions of the public and procurement actors (non-providers and providers) with the aim of knowing the progress of E-catalog procurement in the Government Procurement of Goods/Services process in accordance with the Goals and Policies and Principles of Procurement of Goods /Government Services. The main purpose of elections is to find leaders who are able to improve the conditions of society, especially for those who have difficulty meeting the necessities of life for themselves and their families. Elections are expected to be a path for Indonesian citizens towards prosperity, as mandated by the 1945 Constitution. However, in reality, elections are still characterized by various difficult challenges that must be faced by all Indonesian people. One of them is the existence of fraudulent practices that are difficult for the state to fully control, in this case election organizers. This fraudulent practice occurs among all parties, organizers, voters and election participants. They are intertwined with each other. Public apathy towards holding elections is one of the reasons. Another reason is the massive practice of money politics that occurs. The need for money in society is still very high, so the risk of manipulation by the power of money in elections is a reality that must be taken seriously for the future of Indonesian democracy. However, the success of the election is a success for Indonesian democracy. As a sovereign country, elections are a way for Indonesia to achieve the ideals of prosperity for all its people.
Moh.
